In the second quarter of 2025, the travel and local app market in Angola saw varied performance trends across different applications. Here’s a closer look at the top five apps in this category, based on data from Sensor Tower.

Instabridge: WiFi Hotspot Map maintained a consistent download trend, with figures ranging from approximately 3K to 6K weekly. The app experienced a slight decline in weekly active users, starting at around 9.4K and ending the quarter at approximately 7.6K.

GPS Map Driving Directions saw a notable spike in downloads mid-quarter, peaking at about 6.3K in early May. However, downloads decreased towards the end of the quarter, settling at approximately 838. Active users followed a similar pattern, with numbers climbing from a few hundred to a peak of around 5.8K, before stabilizing at roughly 3.9K.

UGO: Comfort and Safety 24/7 experienced stable download activity, fluctuating between 1.5K and 2.4K weekly. Despite the lack of active user data, the app maintained a consistent presence in the market.

Airbnb downloads started strong at over 1.5K but saw a decline as the quarter progressed, dropping to just over 120 by the end of June. Active users initially hovered around 40K, with a decrease to about 23K mid-quarter, before bouncing back to approximately 36K.

Lastly, Currency Converter Neo Offline downloads showed steady growth, with numbers remaining close to 1K throughout the quarter. Active users increased from approximately 1.2K at the start to around 4.5K by the end of June.
